From the second I met Lindsey and Brett, I hoped I would get to be a part of their wedding day. They were just the cutest, friendliest pair. Every time we got together during their planning process it brightened my day.
On the day of their July 2013 Burlington wedding Mother Nature was
cooperating. As their wedding planner I was pretty devastated. We had spent months working on details for a ceremony on the grounds at Hidden Lake and a reception outside under the stars. One look at the club's satellite weather radar and I could tell we would be putting plan B in to action.
Thankfully, the rain held off just long enough for the outdoor wedding ceremony Brett and Lindsey had their hearts set on. Brett was surprised as he walked down the aisle to see a buddy playing the ceremony music on his guitar. The two of them cried as much as they said they would as another friend performed the ceremony.
While their reception inside was not exactly what we had been planning all along, it was still a fun-filled evening. Brett and Lindsey opted for food stations instead of a seated dinner so their families and friends could mingle more easily. I was a huge fan of the baked potato bar, and freshly baked cookies and make-you-own cheese cake dessert bar. There was something for everyone.
Some amazing vendors made their day perfect, even if it didn't go exactly according to plan. Here's a few shots by

did a beautiful job on the florals, like always.
Congratulations Brett & Lindsey!
