Wedding Show booth design for planners

After so many years hosting Wed Well Showcase and participating as an exhibitor plenty of times before that, I know all too well the tricky reputation that wedding shows and bridal expos have amongst wedding pros.

But I really do believe in the shows as an important marketing channel.

Imagine having the opportunity to connect with your dream clients in person. Rather than always hoping they might find you on social media, or fingers crossed with Google. The ability to make your first impression in real time, live and in person just can’t be beat.

I shared more about wedding shows in general on this post and podcast, have a listen.

Today let’s look at things from a wedding planner’s perspective.

Show’s will convert differently from business to business, and category to category. As a planner, we’re not typically on every expo guest’s wish list. They’re most likely looking for the big three must haves: venue, photographer, and florist.

Don’t be discouraged by this! You’re there to connect with a handful of your dream clients, not every single couple that comes through the door.

TIPS FOR YOUR WEDDING SHOW BOOTH DESIGN

  • Have the best booth you can. Don’t overextend yourself.

  • Keep it really simple & clean. Particularly if design is not your strong suit or your budget is low.

  • Have clear signage about what service you offer. Couples confuse this easily.

TIPS FOR PARTICIPATING AT BRIDAL EXPO

  • Be patient. Some couples won’t be ready to approach you right away.

  • Quality over quantity. You’re there to connect with your Ideal Client, not everyone through the door.
